A private guide for a private celebration.
Wakawaka Wedding is an invitation-only iPhone app for guests of Katie Stanton and Gregg Spiridellis. It does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or use cross-app tracking. An optional introduction shares information about the developer and his contact links.
Information in the app
The wedding hosts provide guest names and seating information. Invited guests can see names and optional interests, profile photos and LinkedIn links. In the current app, the full anonymous table layout is visible, but table and seat assignments are shown only for the name selected on that device. Other guests’ assignments are not shown. Guest phone numbers, email addresses, dietary details, lodging information and organizer notes are not shown in guest profiles or seating views. Each dinner is published separately; an exact chair may remain pending while a table is available.
Information you provide
You may choose to save interests, a profile photo selected from your iPhone, and a LinkedIn profile link. Successful edits are shared with invited wedding guests immediately. You can change or remove these details from My Profile. Photos are optional; initials appear when no photo is supplied. Earlier app versions also allowed a biography; previously supplied biographies may remain in stored wedding records. The current profile screens do not offer biography controls. Contact Alex to remove a previously saved biography. The app does not require a personal guest account or request precise location, payment information or address-book access.
The shared wedding password grants access to the wedding. Selecting a name remembers that person on your device; it does not verify identity or reserve the name. Another device may select the same person. Please choose your own name and edit only your own profile.
Information saved on your iPhone
After you enter the shared wedding password, the app securely saves a session token and remembers your selected name. Already loaded agenda, Q&A, published dinner plans and guest profiles may be saved for offline use. Saved details may be out of date until the device reconnects. Forgetting this device removes its saved access, name selection and cached wedding details; it does not delete the shared person’s profile or seating. A separate, non-personal preference remembers whether the developer introduction has opened so its animation plays only once; this preference remains after Forget this device.
Service providers
Supabase stores wedding records and supplied images. Vercel operates the app’s API. These providers process information to operate the app. Photos of Katie and Gregg are bundled with the app for its couple gallery; a guest-uploaded gallery, push notifications, survey and AI helper are outside this release’s guest experience. The app does not send guest profiles or wedding details to an AI provider.
Retention and choices
Wedding information is kept only as long as needed to operate the app and address support or security issues. You can remove your interests, photo and LinkedIn link in My Profile, or forget the device in Settings. For a previously saved biography, name or seating correction, mistaken profile edit, or a request to delete the shared profile, contact Alex. Host corrections use the existing guest record.
